No matter what era you prefer you`ll find a vehicle representing that moment in time. The Collection is chocked full of Ford Model T`s & A`s, Commercial AA`s , TT`s as well. Don hung on to the cars he drove & acquired along the way , which was the beginning of his affair with Car Collecting. Also in those days factory Drag Racing was all the rage and people loved to see them run. He was no exception and this began his interest in Factory Lightweights , Drag Cars & just plain horsepower of any kind. The Lightweight Collection consists of many examples from Ford Motor Co., but also includes other Manufacturers factory produced Drag Cars. The Museum features The First Thunderbolt produced and the last one through the line in 1964. A1962 Ford Galaxie the First 0f 10 Ford Factory produced Lightweights that year. The First 63 Galaxie lightweight. A National Champion that held 15 NHRA Records at the time, appropriately named the (Lively One). The First 1964 Falcon AF/X 427 lightweight produced. All these cars were driven by Dick Brannan who was the Head of Ford`s Drag Program for more than a decade. Two of 10 Holman & Moody produced 1965 Mustang Cammers. Many other manufacturers Altered WB, AFX & Super Stocks. Nascar vehicles such as; Dale Ernhardt`s 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Ned Jarrett`s 1964 427FE Ford Galaxie & Dale Jarrett`s 1999 Ford Tarus.
